NEET Exam Pattern 2019- NEET stands for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test. It is an entrance test of national level which is organized by NTA (National Test Agency). The said exam serves a purpose for those candidates/students who seek admissions in courses like MBBS and BDS in top medical colleges and universities of India. Candidates are required to prepare as per 11th and 12th standards of school according to CBSE guidelines following NCERT books.

The NEET Exam is organized by NTA for the date 5th May 2019 in only one session. The candidates are required to use only blue/black ball point pen to mark answers. Multiple answers for the same question will lead to negative marking for that respective question.

After the NEET registration process, the first thing comes in mind that what will be the syllabus of the NEET examination. By getting the full details of the NEET 2019 Exam Pattern, the applicants will be able to make comprehensive preparations for the examination. The examination will be based on subjects studied by the applicants in Class 11th and 12th. Applicants need to go through the overview of NEET Exam Pattern 2019 as mentioned below.

  • As per the guidelines, the examination is conducted in Pen and Paper based mode.

  • Applicants are not allowed to bring their own stationery for the examination at the NEET Exam Center. As for the examination, the stationary and other required material will be provided to applicants inside the examination hall.

  • In the examination, 45 questions are assigned to each subject Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

  • 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer.

  • For every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

NEET Exam Pattern 2019 Test-Booklet:

The language of Examination: Applicants would be provided the test booklet in the language opted by them as the medium of the examination. Applicants who opted for vernacular languages would be provided bilingual test booklet (in the selected language and in English).

An opening of Seal: Sealed test booklet will be provided to all the applicants fifteen minutes before the commencement of the examination. Applicants are not allowed to open the test booklet until the invigilator will not ask to do so. All the applicants will be instructed to open the seal of the test booklet five minutes before the commencement of the exam.

Fill details in cover Page: Fill all the details required on the cover page of the test booklet with a ballpoint pen immediately after getting the test booklet.

Marking the response sheet (Answer sheet) for NEET 2019:

  • Valid Response of question: Applicants must use Blue/Black Ball Point Pen to darken the appropriate option of the question. As per the given instruction by the conducting bodies, the answers marked with a pencil will not be evaluated.

  • Invalid Response of question: Improper darkening of the circle of answers or darkened with a pencil will be treated as an invalid response and not to be evaluated. If more than one circle is marked/darkened it shall be treated as a wrong way of marking and no marks will be awarded to the applicant and instead of that, a mark will be deducted.

  • Change of Marked Response: Each applicant must need to be careful before darkening the circle as no further changes can be made in answer once they marked. Use of eraser or whitener on the answer sheet is not allowed for any changes as the answer sheets are machine gradable and it may lead to wrong evaluation.

  • An applicant who wishes not to attempt any question, he/she should not need to darken the circle for a response.

  • Rough Work: As per the instructions applicants cannot do any kind of rough work on the answer sheet as it should be done in the test booklet itself.

Important points regarding the languages of the test booklet for NEET Exam 2019-

  • Candidates, who opt for the language English, the test booklet is provided in English only.

  • Candidates, those who opt for Hindi, they are provided with the Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. the test booklet is in languages Hindi and English.

  • Candidates who opt for vernacular languages, Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in the selected language and in English will be provided.

  • In case of any ambiguity or discrepancies translation of any of the questions, the English version will be treated as final.
