SSC CGL 2018SSC CGL 2018: The official notification of SSC CGL 2018 recruitment has been released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on May 5, 2018. The Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2018 will be conducted in computer based mode for recruitment to various posts in different Ministries/ Departments of Government of India and their Attached & Subordinate Offices. SSC CGL application process has also begun on May 5. The last date to fill SSC CGL application form 2018 is June 4. The recruitment process of SSC CGL 2018 will be held in four stages - Tier I, Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV. SSC CGL Tier I exam will be held from July 25 to August 20. The Tier II exam is expected to be held in November. To be eligible to apply for SSC CGL 2018 recruitment process, the candidates must have a graduation degree or equivalent from a recognized university. The tentative number of vacancies will be announced by SSC in due course. What is SSC CGL 2018 exam?

SSC is conducting the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination to fill up vacancies in different categories of Group A, B and C posts. Candidates selected on the basis of Tier I, Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV exam are posted in various ministries/departments/organisations such as Assistants in Ministries/Departments, Attached and Subordinate office of the Govt. of India, Inspectors of Central Excise & Customs, Inspectors of Income Tax, Preventive Officers in Customs, Examiner in Customs, Sub-Inspectors in Central Bureau of Narcotics & CBI, Assistant Enforcement Officer in Directorate of Enforcement, Department of Revenue, Divisional Accountant, Jr. Accountant, Auditor & UDCs in various offices of Govt. of India, Auditor Offices under C&AG, CGDA, CGA & others, Accountant/ Junior Accountant, Tax Assistant in CBDT and CBEC, Compiler in Registrar General of India etc. The commission is expected to release around 4000 vacancies under SSC CGL recruitment exam 2018.

SSC CGL Application Form 2018

The application process of SSC CGL began on May 5. The SSC CGL application form 2018 is available from May 5 to June 4, 2018. Only online applications will be accepted for the recruitment exam. Last year, the commission had received a total of 30,26,598 online applications for SSC CGL 2018 exam.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2018

The SSC CGL eligibility criteria 2018 are the set of norms in terms of age, educational qualification and nationality which the candidates have to fulfil in order to be eligible for the recruitment exam. The SSC CGL 2018 eligibility criteria  is fixed by the exam conducting body which is SSC for different posts. The eligibility criteria of SSC CGL 2018 has been provided below.

Age Limit: The age limit varies as per the posts. The age of the candidates will be calculated as on August 1, 2018. The maximum age limit for SSC CGL exam is 32 years and minimum age limit is 18 years for general category candidates. Relaxation in the age limit will be provided to the reserved category candidates as per government rule.

Educational qualification as on August 1, 2018.

Assistant Audit Officer:

a) Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute

b) Desirable Qualifications for the Post of Assistant Audit Officer: Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

Junior Statistical Officer:

Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12th standard level or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

All other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

For posts of Assistant Section Officer (CSS), Assistant Section Officer (MEA), Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under M/o Corporate Affairs, Assistant (GSI) in M/o Mines, Computer Proficiency Test has also been prescribed as an essential qualification.

SSC CGL Admit Card 2018

The admit card for SSC CGL Tier I exam will be issued only to those candidates whose applications are accepted by the commission. Candidates appearing for the exam can download their call letter till the last day of the exam. The SSC CGL 2018 admit card will be released regionwise and candidates can download their hall ticket through their registration id/roll number and date of birth. The admit card of SSC CGL 2018 will be released online and the exam authority will not send the hard copy of admit card by post. Candidates are not be allowed to appear for the exam without SSC CGL admit card 2018. Candidates qualifying for Tier 2, 3 & 4 will be issued separate admit cards for the exam.

SSC CGL Exam Centres 2018

The online exam of SSC CGL 2018 is expected to be conducted across 128 exam centres. Candidates while filling up their application form are required to indicate their choice of exam centres. No change of exam centres will be allowed, hence, the candidates are required to select the centres carefully and indicate the same in SSC CGL application form correctly. SSC reserves the right to allot and cancel SSC CGL exam centres 2018.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2018

The exam pattern of SSC CGL provides details related to paper pattern, number of sections, number of questions per sections, marking scheme, total marks, sectional weightage etc. SSC will conduct the SSC CGL 2018 exam in four tiers – Tier I, Tier II, Tier III & Tier IV. According to the SSC CGL exam pattern 2018, the Tier I & Tier II is conducted in online mode while Tier III will be conducted in pen and paper mode. SSC CGL Tier III Exam Pattern 2018: The Tier III exam of SSC CGL is a descriptive test. This paper has been introduced to assess the writing skills of the candidates which is necessary in government jobs. The paper will carry 100 marks.

SSC CGL Tier IV Exam Pattern 2018: The SSC CGL Tier IV exam is Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) /Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). This test will be qualifying in nature.

SSC CGL Result 2018

The result of SSC CGL 2018 recruitment exams will be published online. The result of SSC CGL 2018 Tier I is expected to be announced in September, 2018. The candidates who qualify Tier I of SSC CGL recruitment 2018 as per the result announced by SSC will be eligible to appear for the next level of recruitment process i.e. SSC CGL Tier II. The marks scored by candidates in Tier I, Tier II and Tier III will be used for preparing the final result for provisional allotment. SSC CGL Cutoff 2018

The cutoff of SSC CGL 2018 can be defined as the minimum marks that a candidates must score in order to qualify for the next stage of the recruitment process. The SSC CGL cutoff score is decided by the exam conducting body to delimit candidates for further rounds of selection process. Only those candidates who score minimum qualifying marks as per SSC CGL 2018 cutoff in Tier 1 will be declared qualified for SSC CGL Tier 2 and Tier 3 exams. There is no sectional cutoff in SSC CGL 2018 exam. The SSC CGL Cutoff 2018 will be fixed as per different categories taking into consideration certain factors such as difficulty level, number of candidates appeared for the test, previous year cutoff scores, number of vacancies etc. Candidates will have to secure SSC CGL 2018 cutoff score in Tier II to be eligible for appearing in Tier III and Tier IV.
