Highlights of SBI PO 2018 exam

SBI will conduct the recruitment in three stages:

  1. Preliminary Exam
  2. Main Examination
  3. Group Exercises and Interview

As per the SBI PO 2018 selection procedure, candidates in the first stage will have to appear for the preliminary exam. All the successful candidates will be called for the mains exam. Preliminary Exam

  • Preliminary Exam is the Phase-I of the recruitment process.
  • The preliminary examination of SBI PO will be a objective type test that will include multiple choice questions containing 100 marks.

Main Examination

  • The mains exam of SBI PO also termed as Phase II exam is divided into two parts – objective test and descriptive test.
  • Both objective and descriptive tests will be conducted online
  • The objective test has been divided into four sections – Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/ Economy/Banking Awareness and English Language. The total marks of the objective test is 155.
  • The descriptive test will carry 50 marks. This will be a test of English Language which will include letter writing and essay.
  • The descriptive paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who will score the passing marks.
  • On the basis of marks obtained in descriptive and objective test, candidates will be shortlisted for group exercises and interview.
  • The total time allotted for ob examination is 3 hours
  • For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as negative marking.
