The objective type test of SBI PO Mains exam consisted of 155 questions spread over 4 sections - Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness and English Language. English Language

The English Language section of SBI PO Mains exam comprised of questions on Reading Comprehension, Double Fillers, Phrase Replacement, Jumbled Sentence & Spotting Error. There were total 35 questions in this section. Reading Comprehensions were based on Banking and Economy and Noise in production in the corporate world.  The maximum marks allotted to this section was 60. The overall paper was  moderate.

Questions were of moderate to difficult level. There were no questions on Computer Aptitude and syllogism in Reasoning part.

General/Economy/Banking Awareness

The General/Economy/Banking Awareness comprised of questions from Financial Terms and Concepts, Banking Awareness, RBI, Bank mergers, Financial Organisations, Schemes and Policies, Monetary Policy, Indian Economy, Summits and Pacts etc. The question paper was easy to moderate. This section carried total 40 questions and total marks allotted for exam was 40 marks.

Data Analysis & Interpretation

The Data Analysis & Interpretation question paper comprised of 35 questions on Pie Chart, Missing DI, Line Graph. The maximum marks allotted to this section was 60.

SBI PO Exam Analysis 2017 of Descriptive Test

Candidates in the descriptive test were given three options and they had to write essay and letter. The maximum word limit for letter and essay writing was 150 words. The total time duration of Descriptive Test was 30 minutes.This section was of 50 marks with a time limit of 30 minutes.
