The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection also known as IBPS is a selection body that was started with an aim to encourage the placement and recruitment of young graduates in public sector banks in India. Earlier in 2011 IBPS came with a common written examination (CWE) for recruiting officers and clerks in various private sector banks and launched their official website for accepting online application. Since then IBPS CWE has been conducted every year and this is the 8th edition of that happening in 2018.

There are two Exams for the selection process. IBPS CWE 2018 pre exam will be held on 13th, 14th, 20th and 21st October 2018 and the main exam will be tentatively held on 18th November 2018. This exam allows the selection of candidates to the 27 public sector banks and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). It is conducted at various locations throughout India and mode of exam is online only. Notifications for the same has already started to come out

IBPS PO Prelims Exam Pattern

The IBPS PO preliminary examination has a total duration of 1 hour and 20 minutes for each section, will be conducted in online mode. It consists of 3 sections with a total of 100 questions and a maximum score of 100 marks. One mark is awarded for each correct answer and there is negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. Candidates must clear the cut-off in all 3 sections in order to qualify for the IBPS PO Main exam. The section-wise marks distribution details are given below:

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern

After clearing the prelims exam you would be eligible to write the main exam. The IBPS PO Main exam is also conducted via online, and that will be a descriptive paper which will allow candidates to join the post of Probationary officer.it has 5(4+1) sections with a total score of 200+25 marks and total duration of 180+30 minutes. Like IBPS PO 2017,The sections must be attempted in the same order and the time mandated at the time of the exam. You have to clear both preliminary and mains examinations to be eligible for the interview process.
