IBPS PO Selection Procedure 2017: Candidates under IBPS PO recruitment process will be selected based on their performance in mains examination and interview. Provisional allotment in 20 Public Sector banks will be done on the basis of candidates ranks in merit list and preferences of banks. The marks of Preliminary examination will not be considered for final merit list. IBPS PO Preliminary Exam: The preliminary exam of IBPS PO will be held on October 7, 8, 14 & 15 2017 tentatively. Candidates who will qualify the preliminary exam securing the overall and sectional qualifying marks will be eligible for appearing in the mains exam.
IBPS PO Mains Exam: Each candidate are required to obtain a minimum score in each test of online main exam and minimum total score to be shortlisted for interview. The mains exam will be conducted on November 26, 2017 tentatively.
IBPS PO Interview: Candidates who have been shortlisted in the main examination for IBPS PO will be subsequently called for the interview. Aspirants will have to secure the minimum qualifying marks in interview. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40 % (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).

IBPS will prepare the final merit list on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidates in the mains exam and interview. The weightage of Main exam and interview of IBPS PO will be 80:20 respectively.
As per the IBPS PO 2017 Result, marks obtained by the candidates in prelims, mains and interview will be normalised using equi-percentile method. The process of normalisation is shown in the table below.

On completion of the interview process, depending on the vacancies to be filled in during the financial year 2018-19 and based on the business needs of the Participating Organisations, candidates shortlisted will be provisionally allotted to one of the Participating Organisations.
Allotment of candidates under IBPS PO recruitment process will be done on the basis of merit-cum-preference.
The provisional allotment will also depend on the candidate fulfilling the criteria for Participating Organisation and identity verification to the satisfaction of the allotted organisation.
Issuance of offer of appointment including terms and conditions, formalities for verification, joining etc. is solely the decision of the Participating Organisations and shall be final and binding.
If two candidates obtain the same score, then merit order is decided as per date of birth. The candidate elder in age is placed before the candidate younger in age.
