MHT CET Exam Pattern 2019

MHT CET 2019 Exam Pattern-The DTE (Directorate of Technical Education), Maharashtra will release the MHT CET 2019 application form. Programme of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is the syllabus pool for setting the entrance exam. Significantly 20% weightage will be given to standard 11th curriculum and 80% weightage to standard 12th curriculum respectively.

Examination Date: The examination will be held in various exam centers of Maharashtra state in May 2019.

Mode of Examination: The examination will be conducted through online mode i.e. Computer based mode).

Mode of Answering: Applicants must use black ink ball point pen to mark their answers for MHT CET examination

Total Number of Papers: There are three papers held for MHT CET examination.

Total Marks: Each paper will be consisting of 100 marks.

Type of Question Paper: The question paper will be comprised of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions).

Time and Duration of Examination: There will be three papers and each paper will be 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Language of Question Paper: Some subjects like Mathematics will be asked in English language only. The medium of examination for other subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology shall be English or Marathi or Urdu.

Choices for Answering Questions in an examination: Applicants have to attempt all questions asked in the examination as there is no choice to leave any question.

Marking Scheme of Questions: Applicants will be rewarded with 2 marks for each correct answer in Mathematics and 1 mark for other subjects for the each correct answer.

Negative Marking: No negative marking for the wrong option.

Some description about MHT CET Exam Pattern 2019 OMR Sheets

  • Each applicant will be given the separate OMR answer sheets for each question paper.

  • At the end of each paper, every applicant will have to hand over the OMR Answer sheet to the invigilator.

  • Applicants are allowed to take the Question Booklet outside the examination hall only after the completion of the exam.

  • Applicants can make the choice and sequence for attempting questions according to their convenience.

  • Applicants have to mark the correct answer from out of the four available options by blackening the corresponding circle against the serial number of the question in the given OMR sheet by using the black ink ballpoint pen only.

  • For the single question, only 1 circle should be completely filled and also make sure that it should be darkened properly.

Important Instruction for MHT CET Exam Pattern 2019

  • Any change in the allotted answer is not allowed so be careful while marking the correct answer. Any kind of change in the marked answer will be treated as an invalid response.

  • Applicants will be allotted the mathematical tables (Log etc.) within the question booklet.

  • No rough work should be allowed in the Answer Sheet as it should be done only on the blank space provided on the Question Booklet.

  • Erases and whitener or is not allowed to hide the circle once filled.

  • Applicants need to avoid overwriting and striking of answers once marked during the examination.

Some Instructions for Attempting the MHT CET Exam:

  • Paper 1 and Paper 2 for those applicants who wants to get admission in Engineering and Technology courses.

  • Paper 1 and/or Paper 3 those applicants who want to get admission in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.

  • Applicants are not allowed to use any other another method of marking such as a dot, tick, half circle, etc.

Highlights of MHT CET 2019-

  • This exam will be conducted in all the respective district headquarters in the State of Maharashtra.

  • With only one mode of application (online), it will start by the 3rd week of January 2019.

  • The exam is to be conducted in the 2nd week of May 2019.

  • Each of the subjects (Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry) will consist of 50 questions and the total is 150 questions in the entrance exam.

  • Paper-I will be in English language and Paper-II will be in English/Hindi/Marathi language.
