10th January, Afternoon Session

National Test Agency successfully conducted JEE Mains Paper 1 in two slots, the afternoon session was held on 10th Jan 2019 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The paper was divided into 3 section Physics, Chemistry and, Mathematics. Number of Questions in each section was 30 and total marks were 360. In afternoon paper physics and mathematics was moderate to difficult and as usual chemistry was easy but tricky as compare to others sessions papers. Physics Question Paper Complete  Analysis

Physics Question Paper of the afternoon session was moderate. This section covered all topics, they were mostly calculation based Questions. Most of the Questions were asked from class 12th syllabus, 16 numbers of questions from class 12th syllabus and 14 Questions were from the class 11th syllabus. From modern physics question on Zener Diode is asked first time in this phase.  Physics section was time-consuming as the calculation in physics section was lengthy.

The overall analysis of Chemistry Question Paper for the afternoon session was easy. All the questions were from syllabus and theoretical. most of the Questions were from organic chemistry and some practical based questions were also available. In chemistry section 14 Questions was from class 11th and 16 Questions was from class 12th.

Mathematics was the Difficult section. In mathematics 2 to 3 questions were repeated to a greater extent from the last year paper. This Math section had 7 difficult questions, 12 moderate questions, and 11 easy questions. This section was also lengthy and calculative There were 17 questions asked from the 12th standard syllabus and 13 questions from the 11th standard syllabus.
