BITSAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Introduction: The BITSAT eligibility criterion to get admissions in the Integrated First Degree Programmes: B.E., B.Pharm., and M.Sc.; in its three campuses- Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad is determined by BITS Pilani. The online application form of BITSAT 2019 will open around the third week of December 2018. The result of the exam will be declared in the form of scores, tentatively in the third week of May 2019.

The exam consists of 150 questions and the duration is of 3 hours (180 minutes).

An appealing feature of the exam is if candidates are able to attempt all 150 questions without skipping, they are provided with 12 more questions to score higher.

BITSAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

BITSAT BE

The candidates applying to B.E. courses must ensure the following eligibility criteria, to be considered for admissions:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates need to have cleared 10+2 from a recognized institute with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. Competent proficiency in English is mandatory. Candidates appearing for 10+2 in 2019 are also eligible.

  • Minimum Marks in Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have scored minimum 75% marks in aggregate in subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Also in addition to that the candidates must have scored minimum 60% in each subject.

  • Age limit: No upper age limit has been specified, but only those candidates who are appearing in or have passed their 10+2 are eligible for the exam.

BITSAT B.Pharm

Candidates applying to B.Pharm courses must meet the following eligibility criteria to be considered for admissions:

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have passed 10+2 from a recognized Central or State board with compulsory subjects as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Mathematics). Adequate proficiency in English is also required. Candidates appearing for 10+2 in 2019 are also eligible.

  • Minimum Marks in Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have scored minimum 75% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Mathematics). Additionally, the candidate must have scored minimum 60% in each subject.

  • Age limit: No upper age limit has been specified and only those candidates who are appearing in or have passed their 10+2 are eligible to apply.

  • Candidates who cannot be not eligible for BITSAT 2019-

  • Candidates who took 12th standard exams in 2016 or earlier.

  • Candidates who currently are enrolled at any of BITS campuses.

Note: The eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in 12th standard examination, as mentioned above for respective courses.
